Despite the name, chef Linda Govender goes easy on the peri-peri sauce at this seafood/Indian/fusion spot of the moment, which recently moved from smaller quarters on Florida Road. Rather, the emphasis is on vibrant and unusual flavors (i.e., trout stuffed with mango, coriander and bacon), served if you like on an outdoor patio reminiscent of Karen Blixen's in "Out of Africa." Bill Gates and Bill Clinton reportedly dined here. Full-course dinners average R150 plus alcohol. Confusingly, Durban is renaming all its streets, and Windermere is also signed as " Lilian Ngoyi Road."
